Ingredients:

1/2 kilogram mozzarella cheese

1 cup flour

1 cup water

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup rose water

cream or qimr

mastic

pistachios for garnish

syrup or sugar syrup

Method:

Dissolve the sugar in water and place on the stove. When it boils, add half the amount of rose water and the cheese.

When the cheese starts to melt, gradually add the flour and stir until the mixture thickens into a dough.

Stir the dough upward with the spoon during stirring. Add the remaining rose water and the ground mastic with a pinch of sugar, and remove the halva from the heat.

Spread the halva onto a sheet of oiled plastic wrap. When it cools, fill it with fresh cream or qimr and cut into pieces.

Garnish the cheese halva with pistachios and lemon blossom, and serve cold with syrup.
