Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 100 g butter or ghee
- 5 cups water
- 1 cup sugar, or more to taste
- 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
- 1 tablespoon ghee to add before removing the asida from the heat

Method
- Place the ghee or butter on the heat to warm slightly
- Add the flour to the ghee or butter and stir so the flour absorbs the fat and its color changes slightly
- Begin adding the water gradually; the water should be cold so the flour doesn't clump, and continue stirring in a circular motion with a whisk
- Continue stirring until the mixture heats up and thickens
- Add the sugar, orange blossom water, and one tablespoon of ghee, and stir until the sugar and ghee dissolve
- Pour the asida and serve it hot or after it cools
