Ingredients:

4 cups fine semolina (farikha flour)

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup ghee

1 cup vegetable oil

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons turmeric

3 cups sugar

3 cups liquid milk, or orange juice, or anise tea

1/2 cup milk powder

1 teaspoon (2 grams) yeast

Method:

Mix all the dry ingredients well and sift them through a sieve, then add the liquid ingredients. You can choose to use liquid milk, orange juice, or warm anise tea.

Grease a suitable safouf pan with tahini and pour in the safouf mixture.

Let the safouf batter rest for about half an hour at room temperature.

Place the safouf pan in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes, or until cooked through and risen, depending on your oven.
