Homemade pizza sauce — a great recipe
Ingredients
- 5 tomatoes
- 2 dry onions
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 sweet green peppers
- A pinch of oregano or dried thyme
- A pinch of pizza seasoning
- Tomato sauce (or crushed tomatoes)
- A pinch of sweet hot pepper powder (paprika)
- Salt
- Black pepper or hot pepper powder to taste
- Corn oil for frying

Method
- Chop the onions and tomatoes into cubes and mince the garlic.
- Fry the onion in a little corn oil until it softens, then add the garlic and the green pepper, and cook until they soften.
- Add the tomatoes and the remaining ingredients (spices, salt, herbs, and tomato sauce) and stir.
- Let them simmer over low heat, stirring, until the vegetables are cooked.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then blend in an electric blender until you get a smooth sauce.
- You can store the pizza sauce in the fridge or freezer until needed.
