Ingredients
- Dough :
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons powdered milk
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast dissolved in warm water with a pinch of sugar
- 1/4 cup oil
- Water as needed
- Sauce :
- 1 small dry onion
- Vegetable oil
- Tomatoes
- Salt
- Oregano or dried thyme
- Pizza seasoning
- 2 tablespoons ketchup

Method
- Place the yeast, sugar and warm water in a small bowl and wait about 5 minutes until the mixture foams from the yeast activity.Timers: 5 min
- Add the yeast mixture to the other dry ingredients (except the water) and mix.
- Add the water gradually and knead — the amount of water depends on the flour.
- When you have a soft, cohesive, non-sticky dough stop adding water and knead for 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- Cover the dough and let it rest and rise in a warm place for at least one hour before using.
- Sauté the finely chopped onion in a little oil until soft.
- Add the tomatoes after blending them in a food processor or blender.
- Simmer over medium heat until most of the liquid evaporates and the sauce thickens.
- When the consistency is right (not too watery) add salt, oregano, pizza seasoning and ketchup, stir and remove from heat.
