Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized fish
- Salt
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons ginger (powdered or fresh)
- 2 tablespoons black pepper, ground or whole peppercorns
- 2 teaspoons nutmeg, whole or ground
- 2 tablespoons anise, ground or seeds
- 1/2 red pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup basil leaves
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup olive oil

Method
- Wash the fish well and make slits in each fish, then add some salt inside and outside the fish.
- In a food processor, add all the ingredients and blend well.
- Add some of the mixture inside and outside the fish until it is all used up, then wrap them and leave them for about two hours so the fish can absorb the marinade.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
- Brush the oven rack with oil and place the fish on it. Cover with parchment paper, then aluminum foil, and bake for about an hour.
- After the time has passed, remove the covers from the fish and return them to the oven so the top can brown.
