- 1 large onion
- Olive oil
- Fresh green beans, washed, trimmed, and cut
- A handful of fresh fava bean kernels - optional
- Salt
- Black pepper

Method
- Finely chop the onion and sauté it in olive oil over medium heat until it takes on a nice color.
- Add the green beans, salt, and black pepper, and continue stirring. Fresh fava bean kernels can be added at this stage.
- When the green beans soften slightly, add a very small amount of water, cover the pot, and cook the green beans in olive oil over low heat until tender.
- Serve once they have cooled slightly, with fresh vegetables such as radishes, onions, and sweet peppers of all kinds, and eat with Arabic bread.
