- 4 skinless chicken thighs, boiled
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 100 grams walnuts, ground
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1 cup pomegranate molasses
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
Method

- In a pot over medium heat, add the oil, then the chopped onion, and sauté until browned.
- Add the ground walnuts to the onion and stir briefly over the heat, then add the pomegranate molasses, sugar, salt, and black pepper and stir the mixture over the heat for about a minute.
- Add the boiled chicken thighs and stir until the chicken is well coated with the mixture..
- Add the chicken stock and leave the mixture over the heat until the stock mostly evaporates or thickens and becomes rich...
- Serve fesenjan with white rice
