How to make easy fattoush — one of the tastiest salads: a bunch of fresh vegetables with fried or toasted Arabic bread, as you prefer
Ingredients
- About 12 lettuce leaves
- Half a bunch of parsley
- Half a bunch of fresh mint (or dried mint if that’s what you have)
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 cucumbers
- 2 radishes
- 1 green bell pepper
- 2 spring onions or 1 small sweet white onion
- Salt
- Olive oil
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- Bread

Method
- Wash the vegetables well after soaking them briefly in water with a tablespoon of salt or vinegar.. rinse them well and let them drain thoroughly
- Chop the vegetables coarsely or finely as desired and place them in a bowl
- Prepare the dressing.. mix the salt, lemon and olive oil and pour them over the vegetables and mix
- Fry the bread in plenty of hot oil for just seconds until it browns then let it cool
- Distribute the fried bread over the vegetables and serve the fattoush
