Easy garlic sauce, a recipe you’ll want on hand for many homemade dishes. Once you try this “toum,” you won’t want the store-bought kind anymore.
Ingredients
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1 cup water with 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 5 tablespoons oil
- 5 tablespoons yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon salt

Method
- Dissolve the starch in water and put it in a pot over the heat to thicken, then let it cool.
- In a blender, crush the garlic with salt, then add the cooled starch, yogurt, oil, and lemon juice, and blend well to obtain a smooth, creamy mixture.
- Cover the garlic sauce and refrigerate it until serving; serve it cold alongside dishes.
