Homemade chicken nuggets — tastier, cleaner and cheaper when made at home — here’s a great recipe

Ingredients:

1 kg chicken breasts cinnamon white pepper salt garlic powder onion powder breadcrumbs (ground crackers) 1 tablespoon vinegar 1 tablespoon lemon juice For coating the nuggets: 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs flour eggs breadcrumbs

Method:

Clean the chicken breasts and rub them with lemon juice and salt, then rinse with water.
Pat the chicken dry.
Process the chicken in a food processor with the vinegar and lemon juice (this helps remove any off-odors) and finely mince the chicken.
Add the spices (cinnamon, white pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder) and some breadcrumbs to help bind the mixture, then mix well.
Shape the minced chicken into small squares and place them in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
Coat each nugget in flour, then beaten egg, then breadcrumbs.
Deep-fry the chicken nuggets in hot oil over medium heat until the pieces turn golden brown.
