Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • You can serve Mexicana with this bread, or try Chicken Mexicana from Israa as well

Method

  1. We add the dry ingredients and mix them together.
  2. Add the water and knead briefly until the ingredients come together and form a dough.
  3. Let the dough rest for about half an hour.
  4. Cut the dough into about 10 pieces.
  5. Roll the pieces out into flat breads.
  6. Place each flatbread separately in a non-stick pan over medium heat and turn on both sides until lightly colored and cooked through without browning.
  7. Cover the flatbreads with a towel or clean kitchen cloth until all the dough is used.
