1 liter milk1 cup sugar8 eggsjuice of a lemon and zest of one lemon1 teaspoon vanilla

1 1/2 cups sugar3 tablespoons water

Step 1

Place sugar and water in a saucepan over heat and stir until the sugar darkens slightly. Remove from heat and swirl the saucepan to ensure caramel coats the edges. Let it cool and harden.
