- 1 cup fine semolina
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon turmeric (yellow color)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon cocoa
Method
- Warm the milk in a saucepan over low heat with the sugar and vanilla, and stir until the sugar dissolves. Then add the oil and stir.
- Place the semolina, flour, turmeric, and baking powder in a bowl and whisk; then add the liquid mixture and stir well." ..
- Divide the batter into two portions and add cocoa to one portion, mixing well until the cocoa is fully incorporated.
- Grease a 24 cm baking pan with sesame paste and layer the batter in alternating plain and cocoa sections until finished. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40 minutes, or until the bottom rows are browned and the top edge is slightly browned.Timers: 40 min
