  • 1 cup fine semolina
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric (yellow color)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa

Method

  1. Warm the milk in a saucepan over low heat with the sugar and vanilla, and stir until the sugar dissolves. Then add the oil and stir.
  2. Place the semolina, flour, turmeric, and baking powder in a bowl and whisk; then add the liquid mixture and stir well." ..
  3. Divide the batter into two portions and add cocoa to one portion, mixing well until the cocoa is fully incorporated.
  4. Grease a 24 cm baking pan with sesame paste and layer the batter in alternating plain and cocoa sections until finished. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40 minutes, or until the bottom rows are browned and the top edge is slightly browned.
