Method
- Mix the dry ingredients: first the flour, then the sugar and salt. Add the butter and rub it in until you obtain a crumbly dough resembling sand.
- Add the egg and vanilla and bring the dough together without kneading, simply folding it over itself.
- When it holds together slightly, place it in the refrigerator (not the freezer) and let it rest for one hour.
- After the resting time, roll out the dough in a tart pan and bake it in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.
- Place the milk and cream over heat. When they heat up but before boiling, turn off the heat and add the chocolate, sugar, salt, and liquid vanilla.
- Stir the ingredients well, then add the eggs and whisk them thoroughly with the rest. Pour the mixture over the baked tart crust and return the tart pan to the oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove the tart from the oven and leave it aside for a while until it cools, then chill it in the refrigerator for two hours until it sets well.
