Chocolate-Dipped Candied Orange Peel
Candied orange peel dipped in chocolate — a surprisingly delightful treat. Drying the peels takes 2–3 days, but the technique is simple.

Ingredients
- قشر برتقال مقطع رفيع
- 2 كوب سكر
- كوب ماء
- عود من الفانيلا أو سكر الفانيلا
- شوكولا للزينة
- عود قرفة -اختياري
- ملعقة صغيرة من حامض الليمون او ملعقة كبيرة من عصير الحامض

Method
- Place the orange peels in a pot with enough water and bring to a boil.
- Drain them, then refill the pot with water and boil them again for only a few seconds, then drain again.
- Repeat this process four times in total.
- In the final round, drain the peels and set them aside.
- Mix the sugar, water, vanilla, lemon juice, and orange juice in a pan and bring to a boil. Let it boil for three minutes.
- Add the orange peels you set aside and continue cooking until the peels absorb most of the syrup.
- When the orange peels are cooked, remove the pan from the heat and set aside to cool.
- Begin the drying stage: place the peels in a colander and separate them so they don't stick together.
- Leave them to air-dry until the next day, then sprinkle them with sugar and leave them another day in the air. The drying process for candied orange peel takes
- two to three days
- For serving, offer melted chocolate or syrup for dipping. You can dip the tips of the peels, then leave the chocolate to set and harden.
