3/4 cup melted butter

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

a pinch of salt

2 cups brown or white sugar

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 cup sifted cocoa powder

1 cup chocolate chips

In a bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla until well combined.
Add the dry ingredients and fold in with a spatula or spoon.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Shape the dough into rounds and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Top each cookie with a few M&Ms
Bake on the lower rack in a medium oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
Then switch on the oven's top heat (broil) for about 3 minutes only.
When you remove the tray from the oven, cover it immediately with a clean cloth to keep the cookies soft.
Allow to cool completely before serving.
