Chocolate and Caramel Tart

- 236 g butter
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- less than 1/2 cup liquid milk
- Caramel filling ingredients and method:
- 1 ready-made container of qashta cream
- 1 ready-made container of caramel
Method
- Combine the flour, cornstarch, cocoa, powdered sugar, vanilla and butter, then rub them together by hand until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add the milk and knead until you have a cohesive dough; divide it into rounds and place them in tart molds.
- Prick the center of the dough in the molds with a fork, place a sheet of baking paper over it, then add pie weights (or any small dried beans/grains available) to prevent the tarts from puffing.
- When all are prepared, put them in a preheated oven at 200°C to bake for about 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- Brown them slightly on top until the dough changes color.
- Caramel filling ingredients and method:
- One can ready-made qishta (clotted cream).
- One can ready-made caramel.
- Mix them together, then spread the mixture over the tarts and decorate as desired.
