Chicken Tikka with Vegetables — a very tasty, hearty recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 kg boneless, skinless chicken
  • 3 cups yogurt
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • A medium piece of fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (sweet red pepper powder)
  • 1 level tablespoon turmeric
  • A pinch of white pepper
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • Vegetables:
  • Peas
  • Carrots
  • Potatoes
  • Salt
  • A small piece of butter
  • A pinch of white pepper

Method

  1. Mix all the marinade ingredients well and leave the cleaned, drained chicken to marinate in it for at least 4 hours.
  2. Drain it and reserve the marinade.
  3. Heat the grill on the stove or a nonstick pan and grill the tikka pieces just until they take on color.
  4. Place the pieces in a baking tray and spoon over the reserved marinade, then put the tray in the oven for about half an hour.
  5. On the side, in a nonstick pan, put the vegetables you want, whole or chopped, with white pepper, salt, and butter, and sauté over low heat until cooked.
  6. Serve the chicken tikka with the sautéed vegetables.
