Barbecue-Flavored Chicken Skewers
Chicken skewers marinated in barbecue and teriyaki sauce for an easy, light recipe. You can serve this dish with mashed potatoes, tuck the chicken cubes into a sandwich with French bread, or even with plain boiled white rice. Either way, the chicken tastes amazing with a delicious grilled flavor.

Chicken cubes marinated with soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, barbecue sauce, vinegar, and seasoning.
Ingredients
- Chicken breast, cut into medium cubes
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- Chicken seasoning
- Sweet bell pepper, sliced
- 1 dry onion, cut into wedges
- Oil
- You can omit the salt, since some of the sauces used are already salty.
- Mashed Potatoes:
- 1 kg potatoes
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup milk, or as needed (adjust by eye)
- Salt
- A pinch of black pepper
- A pinch of white pepper

Method
- Season the chicken cubes with the soy sauce, teriyaki, barbecue sauce, vinegar, and seasoning.
- Let them marinate for at least 1 hour.Timers: 60 min
- After the time has passed, sauté the onion wedges with the pepper strips in a little oil until softened.
- Add the chicken cubes and stir until the chicken is cooked through.
- Boil the potatoes until tender.
- Mash them by hand, then place them in a pot over the heat and add the remaining ingredients.
- Leave them for a few minutes over low heat and mix well until combined. Serve immediately while hot.
- Note: The amount of milk should be adjusted so the mashed potatoes have a smooth consistency while still holding together well.
