Ingredients

- 500 g (about 1 lb) chicken — breasts or thighs, as you prefer
- 2 cups rice
- Salt
- Seasonings / aromatics
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Bay leaves
- 1 onion
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Wash the chicken and simmer it in plenty of water with the seasonings.
- Rinse the rice well and drain it.
- When the chicken is cooked, remove the bones, return the boned meat to the pot with the broth.
- Add the rice to the ample chicken stock so there is enough liquid to cook the rice.
- Let the chicken and rice soup simmer until the rice is cooked. Add boiling water if needed.
