Ingredients

  • 500 g (about 1 lb) chicken — breasts or thighs, as you prefer
  • 2 cups rice
  • Salt
  • Seasonings / aromatics
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Bay leaves
  • 1 onion

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Wash the chicken and simmer it in plenty of water with the seasonings.
  2. Rinse the rice well and drain it.
  3. When the chicken is cooked, remove the bones, return the boned meat to the pot with the broth.
  4. Add the rice to the ample chicken stock so there is enough liquid to cook the rice.
  5. Let the chicken and rice soup simmer until the rice is cooked. Add boiling water if needed.
