Broasted wings... an easy, practical, and delicious homemade recipe for fried-wing lovers
Ingredients
- Chicken wings
- 1 tsp chicken seasoning (poultry spice)
- 1 tsp seven-spice blend
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 cup milk (liquid)
- 1 egg
- Flour for coating the wings just before frying
Method
- Clean the wings and pat them dry.
- Marinate them overnight or for several hours in the prepared marinade — mix and whisk all ingredients until combined.
- When ready to fry: remove the wings from the marinade and coat them with flour on all sides.
- Fry in hot, deep oil until golden. Fry over medium heat.
- Serve the broasted wings with French fries and coleslaw.
