Broasted wings... an easy, practical, and delicious homemade recipe for fried-wing lovers

Ingredients

  • Chicken wings
  • 1 tsp chicken seasoning (poultry spice)
  • 1 tsp seven-spice blend
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 cup milk (liquid)
  • 1 egg
  • Flour for coating the wings just before frying

Method

  1. Clean the wings and pat them dry.
  2. Marinate them overnight or for several hours in the prepared marinade — mix and whisk all ingredients until combined.
  3. When ready to fry: remove the wings from the marinade and coat them with flour on all sides.
  4. Fry in hot, deep oil until golden. Fry over medium heat.
  5. Serve the broasted wings with French fries and coleslaw.
