Easy, quick homemade Beef Stroganoff
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- Slices of steak, cut into thin strips
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- Fresh mushrooms, sliced
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 150 ml sour cream (for cooking)
- 1 tablespoon mustard

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Sear the beef strips in a wide skillet with a little butter and oil
- Turn them over on medium heat until the beef browns
- Remove from the heat and set aside
- In the same skillet, sauté the finely chopped onion, adding a little olive oil if needed; cook the onion until softened, then add the fresh mushrooms, adjusting salt and black pepper to taste
- Add the beef back to the onion and mushrooms and stir
- Add the mustard and stir, then add the cream and let the beef stroganoff simmer for 15 minutes over low heat before servingTimers: 15 min
- Serve with rice or boiled pasta on the side
