Ingredients:

1 kg tender beef shawarma meat, cut into long thin strips\n1 cup yogurt

\r\n

3 tablespoons tahini\n1 onion, finely chopped\n3 garlic cloves, crushed\na pinch of black pepper

\r\n

a pinch of salt

\r\n

a pinch of thyme and oregano

\r\n

1 tablespoon shawarma spice mix

\r\n

4 cardamom pods

\r\n

2 tablespoons oil

\r\n

\r\n

\r\n

Preparation:

\r\n

Mix the meat with all the other ingredients, and place the mixture in the fridge for about 6 hours...

\r\n

If you want to make beef shawarma quickly, leave it in the marinade for at least 2 hours

\r\n

Before frying the shawarma, drain well\nFry it well until cooked, or bake in the oven

\r\n

Garlic sauce for shawarma:

\r\n

1 clove garlic, crushed\n2 cups yogurt\n2 tablespoons tahini\n1 tablespoon olive oil

\r\n

a pinch of salt

\r\n

a pinch of black pepper

\r\n

1 tablespoon lemon juice

\r\n

\r\n

\r\n

Vegetable salad served with Shawarma:

1 cup chopped parsley\n1 tomato, sliced\n1 onion, sliced\na pinch of sumac, a pinch of salt, a drizzle of pomegranate molasses
