Potato soufflé, a homemade recipe that is simply irresistible
Ingredients
- 2 kilos potatoes
- 1/2 kilo minced meat
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 cup liquid cooking cream
- 1 cup ground breadcrumbs
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon seven-spice blend
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup milk powder
Method
- Peel the potatoes, wash them, and boil them for half an hour over low heat, or until tender
- Drain the potatoes and mash them using a grinder or blender. While they are still hot, add the salt, butter, cream, and milk, and mix well. Set aside
- In a pot over medium heat, cook the minced meat with oil, stirring until the meat releases its juices and changes color
- Add the finely chopped onion and stir with the meat until the onion is completely softened
- Add the salt and spices and stir for about 5 minutes, then turn off the heatTimers: 5 min
- In an oven dish or Pyrex dish... spread half of the potato mixture evenly. Wet your hands with water to smooth the surface and press it down well
- Spread the filling over the potato layer, then add a second layer of potatoes over the meat filling and smooth the surface
- Sprinkle the ground breadcrumbs over the top of the dish
- Place it in a medium-heat oven for 20 minutes, until the top is lightly browned, and serve hotTimers: 20 min
