  • 1 kg spinach (green)
  • 1 kg chard (green)
  • 1 large onion
  • Fennel or whole anise seeds
  • Salt
  • 1 cup coarse bulgur

Method

  1. Wash the spinach and chard and chop them finely...
  2. Put the chopped onion in a pot over the heat, sauté it for a while until it lightens in color, then add the chopped chard and spinach.
  3. If fennel is not available, you can add slightly crushed whole anise seeds.
  4. Add salt to taste to the mixture and stir until the ingredients wilt.
  5. When the vegetables have wilted, add the coarse bulgur with the required amount of water, cover the pot, and leave them on low heat until they are cooked.
