  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons powdered milk
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • Zeina El Zein

Method

  1. Knead all ingredients together and let the dough rest for about two hours.
  2. When ready, scoop small amounts of dough with a spoon and drop into hot, deep oil carefully.
  3. Fry the doughnuts until they are browned and cooked through, repeating with the remaining dough.
  4. Dip the hot doughnuts immediately into a cold syrup prepared in advance, then place them on a serving dish.
