Muhammara
Muhammara is one of the recipes closest to our hearts, and it can be served as a side dish with many meals, especially meats. Try it the way "What Are We Cooking Today?" makes it, and you won't be anything but delighted :)
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 1/2 cups finely ground walnuts
- 3/4 cup ka'ak
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 3 tablespoons sweet pepper paste
- 1 tablespoon pomegranate molasses
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 3/4 cup olive oil
- 1 red chili pepper
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt, to taste
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- We start by grinding the walnuts with the pepper, then add the ka'ak and onion and continue grinding
- Place the mixture in a deep bowl and add the salt, cumin, chili powder, pomegranate molasses, and oil
- Mix the ingredients well, then transfer them to a serving dish and garnish as desired. For example, muhammara can be garnished with olive oil and walnuts
