  • Shrimp (prawns)
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Hot pepper
  • Green bell pepper
  • Black pepper
  • Sweet spice
  • Dried coriander (cilantro)
  • Peeled tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • A squeeze of lemon

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Chop the onion and garlic, grate the ginger, and sauté them in olive oil.
  2. Add slices of sweet and hot green pepper and the spices, and sauté them.
  3. After a short time add the peeled, chopped tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes soften, then add tomato sauce and let the mixture simmer until it thickens slightly.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook, stirring, for about 10 minutes only.
    Timers: 10 min
  5. Turn off the heat, squeeze a lemon over the top, and serve the shrimp stew with white rice.
