Tomato stew with ground beef... very tasty and also light
Ingredients
- 2 onions
- 1/2 kg ground beef (about 500 g)
- 4 kg ripe red tomatoes
- salt
- cinnamon
- black pepper
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste or tomato sauce — optional if the tomatoes are very red
- vegetable oil

Method
- Wash the tomatoes, then peel them and cut them into medium pieces
- Put the chopped onion in a pan over the heat with a little oil and sauté it until it softens
- Add the ground beef and cook until done
- Add salt, pepper, and cinnamon, then the tomatoes and the purée, stir occasionally and leave the pot for about half an hour or more over medium heat for the tomatoes to cook and the stew to thicken
- Serve the tomato stew with ground beef with white rice or rice cooked with vermicelli
