Delicious coconut muhallabia — a recipe that's as easy as it gets
Ingredients
- 2 cups liquid milk
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For garnish:
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut

Method
- Place the regular milk, coconut milk, sugar, desiccated coconut, and starch in a pot, stir while cold, then put the pot over the heat and stir continuously until it boils and the mixture begins to thicken.
- Turn off the heat, add the vanilla, and stir well.
- Pour the coconut muhallabia into a suitable serving dish or into glasses and cups for individual portions.
- After it cools at room temperature, place it in the refrigerator for enough time to chill thoroughly.
- When serving, garnish the muhallabia with grated coconut and serve.
