Colorful Pasta with Basil and Spinach

Colorful pasta with basil sauce and fresh green spinach leaves in an unusual recipe. Very delicious, and perfect as a main dish or for a special dinner. It can also be served alongside steak or grilled chicken breast.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag colorful pasta or plain pasta
  • Black olives
  • Basil cream or (ground basil + any available kind of nuts + olive oil)
  • 1 green sweet pepper
  • 1 red sweet pepper
  • 1 yellow sweet pepper
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Lemon juice
  • Olive oil
  • Small spinach leaves, optional
  • Mozzarella cheese, diced or sliced
  • Garnish
  • Chopped parsley
  • Cherry tomatoes

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package.
  2. Drain it and leave it aside to cool.
  3. Cut the bell pepper into slices and add them on top of the cooked pasta in the serving bowl.
  4. Add cream or basil sauce as available, and salt, oil, lemon juice, black pepper, spinach leaves, pitted sliced black olives, and cheese pieces and mix.
  5. Garnish with a sprinkle of parsley and cherry tomatoes and serve, or refrigerate until serving.
