Pasta with salmon and cream — a quick, rich meal.
Ingredients
- 400 g small pasta
- 3 cups chopped, cooked spinach
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- ¼ cup olive oil + additional vegetable oil if desired
- 3 cups cooking cream
- 1 tbsp dried basil + some fresh basil if available
- Vegetable stock cube — optional
- A pinch of paprika (sweet red pepper powder)
- A pinch garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Smoked salmon
- Grated cheese — optional
- Note:
- You can make this dish with shrimp instead — simply sauté the shrimp for about 10 minutes before adding the cooking cream and continuing with the recipe above.

Method
- Boil the pasta... add a little oil and salt to the cooking water.
- In a pan or pot on the stove, heat the oil and sauté the garlic until softened, then add the basil and spinach and stir until the greens wilt.
- When the spinach wilts, add the cooking cream and the salmon and sprinkle with pepper, paprika, salt, and garlic powder... and leave them until they come to a boil.
- When they come to a boil, add the cooked, drained pasta on top... and after they boil again, leave them for only five minutes over low heat.
- Pour the pasta with salmon and cream into a serving dish, sprinkle cheese on top, and serve.
