Musakhan Chicken with Saj Bread or Tortilla

Ingredients

- 4 boneless chicken breasts, boiled
- 6 large onions cut into wedges
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Nuts of your choice (optional)
- 1/4 cup sumac
- Salt, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon dried coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- A pinch of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon sweet paprika
- Juice of half a lemon
- Saj bread or tortillas

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Fry the thinly sliced onions in olive oil until softened.
- Add half of the sumac, the lemon juice, and the nuts to the onions. Cook for about 3 minutes over the heat, stirring.Timers: 3 min
- Add the shredded boiled chicken and then add the remaining lemon juice, remaining sumac, salt, and the spices.
- Stir briefly, then remove from the heat and let cool slightly.
- Spoon the filling onto pieces of saj bread or tortillas cut into triangles or squares.
- Arrange the pieces on a baking tray and brush the tops with olive oil to give them a nice color when baking.
- Sprinkle sumac on top as well, then place the tray in a preheated oven at medium heat until the Musakhan is warmed and lightly toasted; brown the tops.
- Serve the musakhan immediately while hot.
