Date Jam
Date jam, or date preserves, is one of the tastiest jams and is especially nice to prepare when dates are plentiful and affordable.
Ingredients:\r\n\r\n1 kilogram dates (ripe)\r\n\r\n3 tablespoons ghee or butter\r\n\r\n3 tablespoons vegetable oil\r\n\r\n1/2 cup sugar\r\n\r\n1 teaspoon ground cinnamon\r\n\r\nSesame seeds\r\n\r\n1 1/2 cups water\r\n\r\nPreparation:\r\n\r\nPlace the dates in a deep pot, add the sugar, oil and water. - 1 kilo dates (rutab), pitted and ripe
- 3 tablespoons ghee or butter
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Sesame seeds
- 1 1/2 cups water
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Place the dates in a deep pot over the heat and add the sugar, oil, and water. Leave the mixture to simmer on low heat for about an hour until the dates are completely cooked...

- Let the jam cool well, then place it in jam jars or suitable sterilized containers.
