A very easy loaf cake baked in a rectangular pan to resemble a bread loaf — a simple, reliable cake for homemade desserts.

  • 2 eggs, beaten with 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup flour

Method

  1. Beat the eggs with the vanilla, then add the sugar and beat until the mixture is pale and fluffy
  2. Add the oil and beat, then add the milk and beat
  3. Sift the flour and baking powder and add them over the loaf cake mixture, then stir with a spoon
  4. Pour the batter into a rectangular pan greased with a little butter and lightly dusted with flour
  5. Place the pan in a preheated oven on the middle rack and bake with top and bottom heat at 150°C
  6. When the loaf cake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool before serving
