Nescafe cake... a delicious and easy recipe

Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 3 teaspoons instant coffee (Nescafé)
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 6 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup chopped hazelnuts
  • Hazelnuts and Nutella for topping

Method

  1. Beat the eggs with an electric mixer on high speed
  2. After a short while, when the eggs are creamy, add the vanilla and sugar and continue beating until the sugar is completely dissolved
  3. Add the oil and continue beating
  4. Dissolve the instant coffee in the warm milk and mix until the milk is fully incorporated
  5. Sift the remaining dry ingredients and add them gradually over the egg mixture, folding with a wooden spoon from the bottom up until combined
  6. Add 1 cup of hazelnuts and fold the same way to combine
  7. Pour into a pan greased with oil and dusted with flour
  8. Place the pan in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) with top and bottom heat
  9. Bake the Nescafe cake for about 40 minutes, watching closely — baking time may vary depending on your oven

  10. Allow the cake to cool completely before removing it from the pan, then spread Nutella over the top and sprinkle with hazelnuts
