- 1 cup pineapple juice

- Whole rings of pineapple, fresh or canned, according to availability or preference

- Beat the eggs with sugar, vanilla, and vinegar until the sugar dissolves completely, then add the oil and juice. Gradually add the flour, then baking powder with a pinch of salt.
