How to Make Colored Rice?
A very easy yet elegant method for preparing colored rice, or saffron-yellow rice. Simple additions to some dishes give them a boost that changes their flavor and color, and this dish is a perfect example.

- 3 cups basmati rice
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 5 cups hot water
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 teaspoon saffron coloring
