Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all‑purpose flour
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups powdered (icing) sugar, sifted — for coating
Method
- In a bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt and whisk them with a hand whisk until blended
- In another bowl, beat the butter with the granulated white sugar, then add the brown sugar and beat until creamy
- Add the eggs one at a time, continuing to beat
- Then add the vanilla, pour the flour mixture over the butter mixture, and fold with a spatula until well combined
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, then use a teaspoon to form small balls, roll each in powdered sugar, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paperTimers: 10 min
