Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 kg all-purpose flour
- 500 g "farkha" flour or fine semolina
- 150 g melted butter
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp mahleb
- 1 tbsp ready-made ka'ak spice mix
- Sugar to taste
- 1 tbsp yeast
- 1 tsp nigella seeds (black seed)
- Sesame and anise to taste
- Liquid milk as needed

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Mix the dry ingredients, then add the liquid milk in batches and knead until you obtain a soft dough .
- Let the Ka'ak al-Abbas dough rest for 30 minutes.Timers: 30 min
- After resting, pinch off the dough into medium-sized discs.
- Place each disc into the specialized mold (or shape by hand) to form the ka'ak discs, and arrange them on a suitable baking tray.
- Let them rest again for 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- Bake at 250°C until cooked through.
- Allow the ka'ak to cool completely before serving.
