Recipe story

Fried Kofta — quick-to-make recipe suitable for all times

Ingredients

  • Finely ground beef
  • Parsley
  • Onion, finely chopped
  • Salt
  • Baharat
  • Tomato
  • Black pepper
  • Rice
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • Water

Method

  1. Mix the minced meat with finely chopped onion and parsley, a pinch of seven-spice mix, and salt.
  2. Chill the kofta mixture in the refrigerator for a short while.
  3. Mix again before shaping into kofta patties as desired.
  4. Fry the kofta patties in a little oil in a skillet.
  5. In the same skillet, fry onion and tomato slices in a little oil, sprinkling with salt and black pepper. Wash and drain the rice, then stir it in a pot with two beef stock cubes and a pinch of salt.
  6. Add water to the rice pot at a rate of 1½ to 2 cups of water per 1 cup of rice. When the water boils and reaches the level of the rice, cover the pot and simmer on low heat until the rice is cooked.
  7. Serve the fried kofta with the onions and tomatoes alongside the rice.
