How to make potato croquettes — a homemade, delicious recipe. Potato croquettes pair well with a wide variety of dishes.
Ingredients
- 500 g (1/2 kg) boiled potatoes
- a pinch of salt
- a pinch of black pepper
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- mozzarella cheese, cut into cubes
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- For coating the croquettes:
- 1 or 2 beaten eggs
Method
- Mash the boiled potatoes well, add the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Form the potato mixture into balls, flatten each slightly and place a cube of cheese in the center, then seal to enclose the cheese.
- Dip each croquette in the beaten egg, then roll in the breadcrumbs until fully coated.
- Deep-fry the potato croquettes in hot oil until golden, then remove and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Serve the croquettes hot.
- Note: Shape the potato balls to the size you prefer.
