How to Make Tuna Balls

Tuna balls made with a special homemade recipe! These balls work great as an appetizer. Have you ever served tuna in a way different from the usual, or as a salad? It's time to do it now.

Tuna balls .. A creative appetizer made with tuna and rice... It's wonderful to learn new recipes using ingredients you already have at home and to serve food in ways that are different from the usual

Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • 1 cup Egyptian rice, cooked and chilled (so the heat doesn't make the tuna spoil)
  • 1 can tuna, well drained of oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • A pinch of grated carrot
  • A pinch of grated cheddar cheese
  • For coating
  • Beaten eggs
  • Crushed cornflakes
  • Also from Alisar, make Spanish omelet
  • And this is Alisar's way of making tuna salad

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Mix the cold rice, tuna, and the rest of the ingredients, then knead until you get something like a dough
  2. Shape into small balls
  3. Dip the tuna balls in the beaten eggs, then in the crushed cornflakes
  4. Place the balls in the fridge for a while to chill so they firm up and don't fall apart when frying
  5. Fry them in plenty of hot oil and serve
