Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Any type of cheese that melts, mozzarella or other

Method

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients together
  2. Add warm water as needed for the flour and dough. Knead the ingredients well until you have a smooth, homogeneous dough. Set the dough aside for one hour to rest and rise well.
  3. After the dough has risen, roll it out or spread it, then cut it into circles. Fill each circle with a cube of cheese or mozzarella, close it, and shape it into a ball.
  4. Fry the cheese balls in plenty of hot oil... once a crisp outer crust forms, lower the heat and let them cook through until the cheese melts inside...
