How to make lahm bi ajeen at home — simply delicious
Ingredients
- Dough:
- 5 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons powdered milk
- 1/2 cup oil
- warm water as needed
- Meat filling:
- 500 g minced meat
- 3 onions
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 green bell pepper
- salt
- cinnamon
- black pepper
- a splash of oil
- a dash of pomegranate molasses

Method
- Mix the dough ingredients, adding water gradually according to the flour's needs.
- When you have a cohesive, soft dough, knead for 10 minutes then cover and let it rest for about one hour.Timers: 10 min
- Prepare the filling meanwhile: finely chop the vegetables, then add salt, spices, oil, and pomegranate molasses; add everything to the meat and mix.
- Drain the meat mixture of excess liquid.
- Roll or stretch the dough, cut it into medium-sized circles, and place the filling on them.
- Bake the lahm bi ajeen in a preheated oven at medium heat until the bottom of the dough browns and the top dries.
- Serve lahm bi ajeen with yogurt and a squeeze of lemon on top; vegetables can also be served alongside.
