Ingredients

  • 1 cup coarse white bulgur
  • 10 small onions
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 300 grams meat pieces for boiling
  • 1/2 cup cooked chickpeas
  • 2 cups of meat broth for every cup of bulgur
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of cumin
  • A small pinch of caraway
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Boil the meat pieces in plenty of water with the spices.
  2. In a pot, sauté the small onions in the ghee until they are golden on all sides.
  3. Place the boiled meat over the onions in the pot, then add the chickpeas, 2 cups of meat broth, the spices, and salt.
  4. When the broth comes to a boil, add the bulgur, stir, and reduce the heat.
  5. Leave the bulgur Badfeen over low heat for 20 minutes, until the bulgur is cooked through.
