Chicken Liver Sooda

Ingredients

  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Green bell pepper
  • A splash of vinegar
  • Pomegranate molasses
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • Black pepper
  • Ground cinnamon (pinch)
  • Salt
  • Bay leaves
  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Vegetable oil
  • Ghee or clarified butter

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Clean the liver well and remove all veins
  2. Wash it, then boil it with bay leaves, cinnamon sticks and a pinch of salt to remove any off-flavor; as soon as the water boils you will see the liver change color; let it boil for about 10 minutes, then remove it from the boiling water, wash it and drain it

  3. In a pan, put a little oil and ghee and fry the sliced onion and chopped garlic until soft
  4. Add the liver and sauté for one minute, then add the chopped green pepper and just a splash of vinegar
  5. When the pepper has softened slightly, season the liver with pomegranate molasses and lemon juice, sprinkle ground black pepper and fine cinnamon and stir; then remove immediately from the heat and serve
