How to Make Creme Caramel
An elegant and very tasty recipe for making creme caramel at home. You can prepare creme caramel in advance and serve it to guests once it is completely cooled.
Ingredients

- Creme Caramel
- 1 liter milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 8 eggs
- juice of a lemon and zest of one lemon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Caramel
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Place sugar and water in a saucepan over heat and stir until the sugar darkens slightly. Remove from heat and swirl the saucepan to ensure caramel coats the edges. Let it cool and harden.
- In a blender, add the milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla, lemon zest and lemon juice and blend well for about 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- Pour the mixture over the hardened caramel.
- In a deep baking dish, fill with water halfway up the sides. Place the custard dish in the water bath and bake in a preheated oven at 180–200°C for about 45 minutes. Remove and let cool.Timers: 45 min
