How to Make Chicken and Vegetable Pie

- Dough
- 4 cups sifted flour
- 1 1/2 cups warm milk
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Filling
- Half a kilogram chicken breast, sliced
- 2 green bell peppers
- 1 cup corn
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 small onion
- 1 tomato
- Green chili optional
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon oregano or a pinch of thyme
- Pinch of pepper
- Pinch of white pepper
- Pinch of chicken seasoning
Method

- Knead well to form a cohesive dough and let rest for an hour to rise
- In a pot over heat, add a little oil and sauté the chopped onion until it wilts, then add the chicken pieces and sauté to evaporate their juices.
- Add the vegetables and spices, the tomato paste, and the tomato; stir and simmer on low heat until cooked.
- Meanwhile, prepare a glass baking dish; brush its base with a little oil and divide the dough into two portions.
- Roll out the dough portions on a clean surface with a rolling pin, making them slightly thick; place one sheet in the dish and top with filling.
- Roll out the second dough portion and cut into strips with a cutter or knife; arrange the strips over the filling lengthwise and crosswise to make a lattice pattern.
